Well ma friends
the tour is over which leaves me to say just one
thing........ THANK YOU. |
Thank you to everybody who bought tickets, thank you to the
people who couldn't get tickets but gave us 100% support,
thank you to all our friends, family and other half's for
putting up with us while we were touring, thanks to Gavin
for keeping my web site up to scratch and thank you to
everyone who sends me mail, I read all your letters and keep
them to one day show my Grand Kids.
The Bandwagon tour as been an amazing success and to share
the stage with such great acts/stand ups like Archie, Ste
and Janice as been a real privilege for me.
We did our last night at Blackburn King Georges Hall on the
30th April, I must have enjoyed it because I joined Janice
in a stage dive but no sooner had we packed our suits away
when I received a call off Andy Whyment (Kirk off Corrie),
hope I've spelt is surname right, to do a bit in his Charity
show at the Willows.
What a great night, myself, Ste and Archie did the stand up,
JK and Joel compered the evening, Surranne Jones (Steve
McDonalds Mrs), Andy (Kirk), Bruno (sorry I don't no his
real name but a nice lad), The young lad whose dad is the
Ginger in Corrie and a host of other Coronation Street stars
did the singing, top notch.
One of the highlights of the night was a surprise appearance
by Coffee and Cream (PK n Sally Lindsay) who brought the
house down with a medley of hits from the eighties, good
night, good cause and a few quid was raised at the end by
auctioneer Justin Moorhouse.
Well the suits been hung up until we tour later on in the
year so the lad can now concentrate solely on The Road To
Nowhere, the new spin off series from Phoenix Nights. Pete's
been grafting (as usual) on it while I've been on tour and
it's looking giddy goddy good.
I'll keep you posted on what I'm up to and the latest with
the series but until then a thousand thank yous for your
support.
