Message & Quote |
January 2005 | |

Now then how the
devil are yer, Paddy here with a very long over due message
and quote.
Firstly HAPPY NEW YEAR to your good self's, it's good to be
back.
I've had problem after problem with my PC (memo to ones
self, don't give credit card details to webcam sluts on
heat.com again) but now I've got myself a new one it's
business as usual. |
The lads gutted because I had lots and lots of behind the
scenes pictures from Max n Paddy stored on my old PC which
are now lost, especially the one of Ste (Mr Nice Guy) Edge,
Archie Kelly, Toby Foster and Justin Moorhouse all stood
bollock naked with only a cricket box to hide their modesty,
believe me it was a belter.
The series has been on and thank the Lord it was well
received, bit of a task following Phoenix Nights.
The first episode had mixed reviews, 90% fantastic and the
other 10% look warm (Ian Hyland is a bummer) but as Pete and
myself already knew it would get bigger and better each
week.
Thanks to everyone who've been stopping me in the street to
say how much they loved the series, when you've wrote
something your self that's one hell of a complement. I even
got stopped by folk in big old London saying how much
they've enjoyed the new series which for me was a tad
surreal.
The viewing figures have been beautiful especially when you
look at Phoenix Nights, a little block of gold but at the
height of it's powers got 2.3 million viewers, it was the
DVD that made it a big hit with people. Our first episode
got 3.8 million viewers and on a bad week 2.9 million (we
were up against Children In Need so no love lost there) and
then on a good week 5 million of you little blighters tuned
in to watch so from the pit of my soul can I just thank you
all and give you a big kiss (for the males reading this, not
in a gay way).
The Jumping On The Bandwagon tour bowed out in style at the
Blackpool Opera House, Max and Paddy's Road To Nowhere as
finished although they're still showing repeats on E4 and
now Christmas is over it's onwards and upwards into the new
year. I'm still trying to get through some of the DVD's my
mates bought me for Chrimmy, Vol 1 & 2 of Seinfeld, Bo
Selecta Vol 3 (still p*ss funny if you skip past the Avid
Merrion bits), Raining Stones, Riff Raff, a couple of the
Eastwoods westerns and Kung-Fu Masters Live. Let me tell you
folks there's nowt better than watching a couple of Chinese
blokes breaking baseball bats on each others knackers for an
hour on Christmas Day whilst eating your left over Turkey on
sandwiches all washed down with a cup of the finest PG tips,
magical. Less we not forget the mint Matchsticks.
Well what next for Patrick McGuinness in 2005, the answer is
I've not got a clue but you'll be the first to know if I'm
touring or doing any other TV work or if back on the bins.
Also those of you who are reading this and have been trying
to e mail me well you know no why I've not repied, no
computer for a month and I've also lost everyone's e mail
address's. If you want me to get in touch just send um in to
Gavin and he'll make sure that I get them. Oh yes I also
lost my mobile to, not a good month really.
Thanks to everyone who sends fan mail and asks for pics, I
do get them done eventually. I've still got some here that I
need to send out but I'm getting some new pics to. Has well
as Lord Love Rocket and my moody black and white pic i'll be
getting some printed from Max and Paddy which I'll put on
the site in the next week or so. Just pick the one you like,
I'll autograph it and get it off to yer a.s.a.p.
Before I go just a quick note to say good luck to Dave
Spikey. Dead Man Weds starts this week and with a great cast
as well as the mighty Janice connolly I'm sure it'll do
really well.
Here's to a good New Year.
