Message & Quote March 2005 - Quote 5

Hello my friends, Paddy here with my weeklyish message and quote.

First up a big thank you to everyone who donated to Comic Relief and bought the Amarillo single, it's gone straight to No1 in the dance hall charts and all for a worthy cause.

Second up is what's happening in the world of Paddy, well I'm glad to announce the lad is finally embarking on his first big solo tour.

The National tour does not kick off until November but you can get a sneaky snocky preview of what's gonna be on offer at a handful of smaller warm up shows throughout the UK or as I like to call it, the North West.

The first of the warm up shows will be held at Darwen Library Theatre on the 9th and 10th of June. Ticket prices are cheaper than a crate of Netto beans because like I say these are warm up shows and it's nice to find out what's going to work and most importantly what's going to get laughs. In the words of Jerry McGuire, help me help you, or just think of yourselves as comedy Guinea Pigs although less hairy and with the added bonus of opposable thumbs.

I've often thought about doing a solo tour in the past, not literally, time machine running costs are a killer, so after the success of the Jumping On The Bandwagon Show's now seemed like the right time to embark on hopefully the first of many tours.

Tickets for the warm up shows are £7.00 each and go on sale at 10am Friday March 18th, this is being announced on the site first so hopefully the fans (you lot) get first dibs on the tickets. The warm up's are only small venues, no bigger than 250 so please be quick as I'll be talking about them on a few radio shows in the next couple of weeks.

You can purchase tickets by the following:

Phone - 01254 706006 (credit, debit or switch)
e mail - dlt@blackburngov.uk
or by post - Darwen Library Theatre, Knott St, Darwen, BB3 3BU

Right, that said I better write the fecker.

God bless and keep your Q n A's, Fans Gallery pics coming into my personal e mail - patrick.mcguinness@gmail.com

PS - I'll be a guest on Jk and Joels afternoon show (they're standing in for Colin and Edith) on Radio 1 this Friday March 18th and for those of you who live in the Yorkshire area I'll be appearing on Soccer Night with Andy Townsend and Peter Beagrie this Thursday March 17th.

Paddy
