Paddy Likes To Play The Field

Well hello ma friends, Paddy here with my weeklyish message n quote.

I've just getting over my own goal in the Tsunami Liverpool Legends footy match, 39,000 people and I put it away in my own nets but many thanks to Osama Bin Laden for the use of his cave until the heat died down.

I received some consolation at half time, Kenny Dalglish came over to tell me it was one of the best goals he's seen scored at Anfield and Harry Rednapp also congratulated me but suggested it might be an idea to score the next one in the other teams nets.

What an absolutely fantastic day out for all the players and fans alike, I for one will never forget standing by the side of Alan Ansen in the players tunnel while he explained the tradition of touching the Liverpool FC plaque before a game and the feeling of running out to a packed Anfield and to play alongside such greats as Ian Rush, Kenny Dagliesh and Robbie Fowler will stay with me forever.

Every single one of the legends players was sound as a pound to talk to, very friendly and down to earth. I managed to swap shirts with Ian Rush at the end (which he signed for me) and although I'd have liked my own shirt as a memento I reckon I can live with having Rush's framed and put up in pride of position in the old conservatory.
It was also great to play at the side of Big Nial Quinn, he's a gentleman and a gentle man who told me to
enjoy the day and atmosphere, which I did up to my own goal. Fecccckkkk!!!

Jason Macateer, the rest of the organisers and the fans who bought tickets deserve a big pat on the back for raising so much money for what we all agree is a very worthy cause.

Also as you may or may not know the three warm up nights in Darwen sold out more or less straight away, I'm informed that tickets are being sold on e bay for 85 quid a pop.
Stay clear of these folks, if you want to catch your Uncle Paddy this year there'll be plenty of chance without you all getting ripped off. I'll probably be putting a few more warm up nights on here and there and less we not forget the main tour which starts in November so don't worry just keep your eyes on the site for further details me old loves.

Until next weekish

Gertcha
