Hello ma friends Paddy here with my weeklyish message and quote.

Well I did my first three warm-up nights for the November tour and I could not believe how well they went. Thank you very much to everybody who turned up, the venue owners said that they'd logged 1500 phone calls for tickets but all the nights were sold out so again thanks for your support.

The audience reception as I walked on stage was something else and made me feel at ease straight away. I tried out about 40 minutes of new material, the first night I did an hour or so but 20 minutes of that was banter with the audience. I'm really glad that I've got together the makings of the first half of a show and I really didn't expect the cheers for more at the end of each show hence me walking back on stage on all 3 nights to say "F off, I've not got out else at the minute". I knew you all enjoyed the show but that response really blew me away.

Also a big thank you to my support act, the mighty Jason Manford, the audience loved him and he did a great job of warming them up, just glad I booked him when I did because he's doing his own show at the Edinburgh festival this year and will probably win it. At the moment myself and the rest of the team are over the moon that the material works and saying it was only the first lot of warm-ups it can only get better.

Thank you again to everyone who showed up, to the people who paid over the odds for tickets on e bay (I'll get your details and post some tickets out to you for November, gratis) and a big thank you to my tour manager, promoter, staff at the Darwen library Theatre and everyone else involved in the show.

Now then, onwards and upwards and the latest warm-up show dates. I'll be playing the Lowry Manchester on Saturday 23rd July and Sunday 24th July then onto the Bury Met for Wednesday 7th September and Thursday 8th September. Further dates will be announced shortly but the Lowry and Bury Met have been confirmed, full ticket details are below and please be quick as they've not even been announced at the Theatres yet so you lot get first dibs, I don't want people paying over the odds on e bay again.
