WE’RE NEARLY THERE!

Hello my patiently patient friends here’s my latest update on the new tour along with a few other bits n bobs.

I’ve been busier than Carol Vordemans agent but I can finally announce a few confirmed acts for the support slots on the tour, these are:

The Lancashire Hotpots - Musical comedy act based in St Helens.

Andy Watson - Stand up comedian hailing from Blackpool now based in West Didsbury.

Jonnie Cowling - Stand up comedian/Entertainer from Cornwall.

These three acts will be covering quite a lot dates but we are still agonising over a few more acts to cover another 22 dates between them, watch this space.  If you’ve sent a DVD in and we haven’t got back in touch then your either on a list shorter Michelle McManus’s singing career or unfortunately you’ve not been selected.

Not far off the warm up nights now and I’m really looking forward to trying out the new material and having a bit of a giggle with your good selves.  I’m still writing at the minute and I’ve no doubt the show will change and evolve over the 6 warm up nights and through out the begining of the tour.  I’ve just got back from my hols feeling refreshed, tanned and with a mild case of alcohol poisoning, can’t wait to get on stage.

We’ve also just finished filming Rory and Paddy’s Great British adventure which starts on 5 at 9pm on August 13th.  The show follows yours truely and Rory McGrath around the country getting involved in things that blokes of our age should’nt really be doing, hope you like it.

I’ll be starting work on two new TV projects in the new year, I’ll tell you a little bit more about those nearer the time when I’m clearer as to what the heck is happening.

Before I go I’d just like to give a masseef and whole hearted thank you to everyone man woman and child who kindly sent in a DVD for the support slots.  Although it was impossible to pick everyone, in a Simon Cowell stylee, Britian really as got talent.

Thanks again, see you on tour.

We’re getting there people.

Hello ma friends.

Just to let y’all nothat I’ve finally picked the support acts for the Plus You tour.

The powers that be atmy office (Edna and Enid) are in the process of contacting them as we speak. I’d like to thank all the acts for their patience in waiting for a reply, I’ve been busier than Amy Winehouse’s off license.  Once everyone as been contacted I’ll pop the acts up on the web site.

All the the tour dates on my web site are correct but if your reading this from the Emerald Isles then I’m sorry if you’ve been messed around.  The bloody promoters over there have advertised all the dates wrong, whoops!!!!!

Everything is going well in Paddy’s world at the min (apart from the date mix up) and I’ll post a more in depth message on the next…erm…..message!

Until then - Peace out!

Paddy

Support Acts For My Tour

Hello my friends sorry it’s a bit late coming but I’m just getting used to this posting things up on the site thingy mi jiggy.  Just a quick one to keep you posted on which acts will be chosen as supports for the
new tour.  Please be patient if you’ve sent in a dvd, due to amount of acts we’ve received the lads still ploughing his way through them.  I’m working harder than Shane McGowans dentist at the minute but I will get through the rest of the acts by the end of next week and that’s when the winners will be announced.  The tours selling really well and I’ll be getting the Gavster to update the sold outs next week.

Please be patient as I’m doing this along with other work. I’ll be popping up on the F word in the next couple of weeks with the McGuinness brigade, I’m filming two new ads for Greggs and I’m also in the middle of filming a new comedy/documentary with Rory McGrath or as I like to call him, The Ginger Prince.  See him covered in shit, sliding down a hill on Youtube.

Thats it for now, thanks to y’all for your support, patience and above all else……….LAUGHTER!

PS

Now I’m getting used to this I’ll try and post more often with TV appearances etc.

PPS

For those contacting me on face book, again sorry but it’s someone else pretending to be the McGuinness.  This site is the only place I post messages, tour details, pictures, etc.  If you’ve been in conversation
with the fake me on face book/myspace or any other of them there social networking sites then you’ve probably been talking to Dougy, a 42 year old truck driver from Stockport last seen on BBC’s Panorama.

Paddy McGuinness Plus You! Live - FULL TOUR DATES April 2008

Hello ma friends just a quick one for your deliberation. The full tour dates along with box office numbers are now up on the web site. Hope there’s a venue on the tour that’s not to far from you, there may be the odd one or two extra dates thrown in for good measure in December. Please keep the DVDs of your acts coming in to the address on the site, I’ve seen some crackers so far and I’m really pleased with the response. Until the next update, bonjour.

Welcome to Paddy’s News Blog

Due to Paddy’s hectic schedule recently, he took some time out to discuss options of how he could get his messages to YOU (his fans) quickly and when ever he wanted. We came up with Paddy’s News Blog! We have tried to keep the design of the news blog similar to the existing site layout and hope that it’s not too displeasing on the eye. Improvements will be made during the coming weeks and months and of course, Paddy will be able to post directly here instead of having a web developer in the middle slowing the process down.

We hope you enjoy the update…

Paddy McGuinness Plus You! Live

Hello there ma friends just a quick update as promised re supporting himself on the Paddy McGuinness Plus You tour.

All the warm up nights have now sold out so I’ve added one more at Bury Met on August 30th. I’m over the moon and appreciate your support on the warm up nights, the gigs selling out just adds to the excitement of getting out there with y’all again.

The address to send your acts on DVD to is now on the site (see below). The cut off date for your entries is May 17th, all the acts chosen to support me will be announced on the site by May 26th. Remember the winning act will receive two thousand pounds and appear as my support on the new DVD. I strongly believe there are some cracking acts out there plus a lot of untapped talent so I’m really looking forward to your DVDs coming in.  Remember we are looking for all types of acts and every single one of you from sword swallower’s to comedians will get the same undivided attention. Also in my last update I mentioned how there would be more dates added to the tour, these will be released in the next couple of weeks and will cover the entire UK along with Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Rest assured there wont be a town or city left unturned, well technically that’s a lie but I will be playing somewhere near your neck of the woods.

Once again thank you for your continued and flattering support, keep your pictures and requests coming in to my email address patrick.mcguinness@gmail.com and look out for my cameos each week in Keith Lemons Gap Year which starts on March 11th, ITV2.

Jam on

Paddy McGuinness Plus You! Live

Well helloooooo there!!! It’s been a while but hopefully well worth the wait.

In the words of sir Jimmy of Saville, now then, now then where shall we start. Let’s start off with the brand new 2008 tour, Paddy McGuinness Plus You! Live. Yes it’s time to dust off the auld mic stand and get back on the open road to travel the country on the laughter train. Why have I called the tour, Plus You! well let me tell ya. With all this Britain’s got talent X factor malarkey I thought it would be a nice idea to give folk a chance to perform in great theatres with a big audience and slip um a few quid to boot. In the next couple of months there will be adverts running in the local press asking for professional acts whether it be comedians, singers, magicians, dancers etc to send in DVDs of their act and the best ones will get the chance to support me on a few nights in their area, simple as that. No auditions, no mentalists like the early weeks of X factor, just good acts from the world of club land being given a chance to take their set to the next level. The winners will receive a cheque for two thousand pounds, appear on my new DVD for Christmas 08 and get the chance to perform in some of the countries biggest and best theatres. I was given a leg up at the start of my career and thought this would be a great idea to give someone else a chance. The address to send your DVDs (please no filth……..well maybe the odd one) will be put up on the web site next week.

The new tour dates start with six warm up nights at the beginning of August and then run on until the end of September. The full on nation wide stuff kicks off in October, November and December but these dates will not be on the site for a few weeks as we are still booking the venues. Please, please, pretty please be quick to get your tickets because I’ll be doing all the press for the new tour over the next month or so and it’s always nice for the people who visit the site to get the first dibs on them there tickets. Unfortunately the first three warm up nights have already sold out before I’ve had the chance to put them up on the site but there are another three warm up nights going on sale for Bury Met in August.

I’m currently busy writing the new show and really looking forward to getting back out there with y’all. I cant believe it’s been two years since the Darkside tour, where does it go. Rest assured though I’m fully energised and ready to wreak havoc in a theatre near you soon. I’m finally in my new house and it’s nice to be able sit down in my little office and do a bit of writing to get the old creative juices
flowing. Sorry to all those people waiting for email replies and pictures but as you can imagine moving house and then renovating the little rascal can be a tad time consuming.

I’ve had some new pictures taken for those of you who want signed pics and they are up on the site now, I’m enjoying the new look and it’s great after shower time, quick wipe of the head and I’m off. The new tour poster is still with the graphics people but once it’s finished this will be on the site to. As for TV stuff this year is going to be taken up mostly by the tour but I have managed to squeeze in an appearance on Alan Carr’s new show, I’ll be on every week in Keith Lemons Gap Year and there’s a couple of new Gregg’s ads to look forward to, oh yes and I may take a team on BBC 2’s Eggheads for a giggle. If I can squeeze any other TV stuff in then I will but my schedule is tighter than Lisa Riley’s knicker elastic at the minute. Hope you like the new pics and the box office numbers for August/September are now up. Keep your eyes peeled for the Oct/Nov/Dec dates in the next few weeks.

Be good, thanks for all your emails and continued support.

Paddy
